▸ ‘ & The Assistant ;

And Haruka did return to his station, but only after
gathering his pages and brought them to the editor.
Even if the main artist had been slacking, he had
gotten to his part of the job done. Despite the missing
pages, he had the rest finished.

     ❝ I need another assignment anyway. ❞

Haru had always been a very hard and quick worker,
but he never turned his projects in early. He was worried
they would be shoved to the side as “rushed”, when really,
his hands were just good enough for this task. After all, in
high school, in just a matter of days, he had carved around
a hundred wooden Iwatobi-chans by hand.

                                                   “Hm…”

             Watchful eyes carefully followed the unknown artist as he made his way back to his desk to hand over his properly edited pages. Amusement began to rise within the editor as he laid the papers down onto the main artist’s desk; the corners of his lips turning upward into a smug smile. In the back of his mind, Takano was rather impressed by the assistant and his initiative to get his work done on time; it made his job a WHOLE lot easier for both him and the mangaka. Respect was clearly evident for the other, but the editor knew better than to praise a mere assistant rather than the main artist herself. With a light chuckle, Takano readjusted his glasses onto the bridge of his nose; his tone humorous.

                          with you on her team, huh? What’s your
                                                  name, kid?”
