❝ Oh yes, being an adult is hard work and it does take
up most of my time. I don’t mind it so much; I don’t know
if you can still read me or not but, I quite love the job I
have right now. I mean - what could go wrong with being a
bartender? Other than fights but those are rather entertaining
to me as they were when we first met. ❞

FOR PEOPLE TO HEAR THE BARMAID say such things to a mere mortal will have her name be talked about in the community. Tough luck for them as the clowns have intel within the community itself so messing with her is practically messing with death. She smiled up to the man before her and had this mysterious aura cloud her once again so that reading what is on her mind won’t be as easy as to reading her facial expressions. His face brought back many GOOD memories made when she tried schooling again after finishing the necessary high school that she had to endure. Maybe it was for her to experience a normal human life but, all she did was whore around with Takano until she and renji moved from the fourth to pursue jobs of their own.

“Not too sure if I can read ANYONE well
anymore, but I will take your word. See-
ms like you’re really enjoying yourself
here. As for the fights, you should prob-
                                ably consider hiring a bouncer.”

It was rather refreshing to speak to the redheaded woman in such a way that seemed as though time had not affected them in the slightest way; it was as if they were college students again. Nostalgia hit Takano hard as he found himself chuckling like he always did when around Itori. Despite his fallout in college, the man always found COMFORT within the woman–and not just in the sexual way. He cherished what they had, and in the back of his mind, he felt G U I L T Y for not being able to spend more time with her. The only person, besides Yokozawa, who even cared about the man was none other than the barmaid. The memories they shared, though lewd and somewhat shameful, were the ones that Takano never regretted.

Wanting to shift his thoughts back to reality, the man glanced around the bar before averting his gaze back at the woman–a warm smile playing on his lips as he spoke out; his tone light,

“I should probably be a good customer
                                     and order something, huh?”
